Why are MSN comments so overly censored?

Yes it is ridiculous, yet some are allowed to post the most vile comments while inoffensive ones get barred for using similar words in a polite contexts, The "community standards" are wacky, perhaps this is the upside down immoral standard of those who decide these bizarre guidelines.

MSN, right now, has literally the worst comments section on the internet. It's so restrictive, in a non-sensical and arbitrary way, that I cannot say the most milk toast things or give my unbelievably uncontroversial opinions without having to rewrite my comment over and over and over again. In the end, I've ended up just giving one-word responses because I cannot manage to navigate this dystopian moderation. I'm about one more, "This comment doesn't meet our guidelines" from changing my homepage and never coming back.

Can you explain where the offensive part is in this comment?

"Not even close. They are still destructive, but not to the extent as combustion engines. The environment is hurt by drilling and the air is severely corrupted by the emissions which hurts more of the environment. We need an alternative. Personally, I think hydrogen is the way to go. The materials aren't as damaging as electric and the waste product is water vapor. Unfortunately, money is more important than the planet we live on so the expense makes sure we keep damaging the environment."

I don't have an "other" choice in the settings.

I am getting blocked lately for criticizing the (low) quality of some articles, nothing against the guidelines.

I stopped going to MSN. I went back one time after posting my comment, here. had a hard time commenting, again, a non-offensive comment and haven't been back since. If they're trying to make it so nobody reads their news, this is the way to do it.
