Just curious about how much harder can Microsoft make our Jobs?
Quick Access not showing in navigation pane since Windows 11 update
I updated to the latest version of Windows 11 yesterday. When I opened File Explorer, Quick access and recent files/folders were showing to the right of the window, but the Quick Access folder option was missing from the navigation panel on the left. So if I click away from this Window I've lost Quick Access. How do I re-enable Quick Access to the left part of the navigation pane?
Please look at the screenshot before replying. Quick Access is enabled in view mode options and can be seen, but is missing from the left side of the navigation pane.
Thanks for any help.

2024-09-24T03:35:15+00:00 Hi,
I am Sumit here to assist you with this question. Some changes explained here:
https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2022/...
The default homepage of File Explorer is now called Home. The name Quick access has been repurposed for the pinned/frequent folders section and Pinned files is now called Favorites to align with Office and OneDrive.
Recent and pinned files displayed in Home are now searchable using the search box in File Explorer even if they are not local files, so you can find Office files recently shared with you.
Yes, they are not announced in the release notes, though.
Hope that hels.
The option to pin folders to Explorer which is pinned to the taskbar has been taken away along with the option to pin folders to "Quick Access". I can't pin folders to "Home", as there is no Pinned/Frequent Folders section in my Explorer, so basically Microsoft has removed 2 features that I (and I'm sure many others) use many times a day and not provided an alternative! I am beyond annoyed. Bring this basic functionality back Microsoft 😡😡😡 Why would you make the operating system harder to use on purpose?

2024-02-02T14:01:02+00:00 Hello,
Quick Access in Windows 11 can be found within Home in File Explorer, but you must disable the Show recommended section.
pt-br: Olá,
O Quick Access no Windows 11 pode ser encontrado dentro do Home no File Explorer, mas deve-se desativar o Show recommended section.
