I can't say because I never got the screenshots I requested of msconfig > Services after hiding all MS Services, and Task Manager > Startup. Also there's a third location in Settings > Apps > Startup.
Windows 11 Lengthy Boot

When I upgraded to Windows 11 recently, Windows no longer booted to the proper drive so I had to into the BIOS and select the Windows Boot Manager drive/partition. Now when it boots up in can take 45 seconds for the BIOS to start up. I assume it's looking for the boot drive, or there's something wrong with the boot drive. I think it has something to do with drive mapping.
When I go into Advanced option of WinRE, select Command line and execute a dir command for the C drive it shows my data drive. The D: drive has my Windows install. I've had a number of scary problems with my Windows 11 install so I really really don't want to touch anything unless I have expert guidance.

2022-10-19T04:01:45+00:00 BTW whatever I've done it's fixed the initial topic of this thread - the long boot time issue. I do have all the startup programs still disabled so maybe that's it. I'll enable all of these and see what happens with the boot time.
I totally forgot that ask for screenshots - busy going through the processes of elimination and testing. So here they are.

2022-10-19T04:14:11+00:00 You don't need any of those driver services in msconfig starting with Windows unless they hold in place a setting that Windows cannot, and it is needed to be started with WIndows and cannot wait until you start the app itself.
None of them are critical to running Windows.

2022-10-19T04:27:51+00:00 Sure - but does it hurt anything? I'm not inclined to make any changes at this point that are not directly in service of troubleshooting this issue. I don't want to have to fix something else in the middle of this. And disabling those services as part of the process of elimination didn't fix the problem.

2022-10-19T04:44:36+00:00 Btw a power up boot takes about 10 seconds instead of 45 so that’s good. Also after the upgrade to Windows 11 a shutdown would not power down the system, nor would the power button. I had to toggle the power supply power switch. Now that’s working as it should. Several other undesirable application startup behaviors introduced with W11 are now fixed too. Small change compared to my other issue but welcome nonetheless.
You may have additional questions regarding my msconfig related troubleshooting. I do too as I don’t think I completely understood the ramifications of various combinations of the use of that program in combination with the startup apps. I’m going to take a stab at it again which will take a while especially since I need to clear my foggy brain before I tackle this again. But feel free to ask additional questions or make suggestions in the meantime and I’ll respond when able. Again I appreciate your time - I know you’re a volunteer and this is pretty demanding.
