I started having an issue (very recently) with being able to answer a reply to my comments on MSN News. I can comment on a news article and someone will reply to that comment. When I open MSN News again and get a "reply balloon" on the bottom of the page and proceed to click on the text in the balloon (to bring up that page with the comments so I can respond), it now takes me to a "Microsoft Start" version of that page (with the colored blocks showing on the page tab instead of the MSN butterfly) which looks like the story as it appeared from its original source (like Reuters or Insider, etc.) that doesn't have the comments available or showing anywhere; it's completely different from the original MSN page.
I typically use Firefox but I’ve opened MSN in Edge and it’s doing the same thing, so the only way to comment on a reply is to bookmark the original MSN page when I comment, then get back to the page that way and hunt for the reply to my comment on a refreshed version of the page. As of now, I haven’t found a way to get it back to the way it used to act, so maybe this is new behavior with MSN News, but if so, it’s definitely not preferable to the way it used to be. This isn't some critical issue, but it's very annoying when trying to follow-up with replying to a comment response. (Windows 10 Pro, HP laptop)

I had one notification balloon from a post and yes, it does seem to be working again. I clicked on the balloon content (not the name of the commenter) and it took my back to the page with comments available. Whether it continues to work will take time to see, but for now someone in authority may have restored the behavior to how it should be.
Right. For me, on certain articles. And only on very recent articles — those posted within the last couple of hours. Overall, it’s not a critical issue, other than for Watchdogs and Regulators to possibly discern the aims, purposes and motivations of the owners of this corporation.
For me, I find that both comments and replies have been deleted, except for the present-day articles.
In a Comments panel, click your account button there, and you'll go to a page with your comment history.
a new wrinkle, now the pop ups are back, but clicking them just takes you to the original page, but not only does it not then open the comments to that reply, it does not even offer the comments balloon to see ANY comments. So in a nutshell, STILL not working. Come on msoft, how hard can this be to fix, especially something that DID work before; it is not as if you are developing new code.
