Recently installed Windows 11. The wifi remains connected for sometime and then after some time drops. Nothing I do can reconnect again. Only a complete restart fixes the wifi and then after sometime the connection gets dropped again. What can I do to fix this?

I had this same problem with my Windows 11 upgrade on my previous PC. I have a new PC with Windows 11 and there are no more disconnections. It must have been hardware related.

I resolved most of my connection drops by making sure my Microsoft account and my internet provider know I am the person as described on each venue so my internet connection could sync. Any additional problems come from my internet provider (Comcast) not providing a constant re; liable connection (Comcast prefers business connections for maintaining any or all links). Last, but not least, I can be connection problematic when I do not maintain my awareness of where my fingers are on the keyboard & I accidentally cause a disconnect.

I tried everything Microsoft and HP suggested including re-installing Windows 11 but it still dropped the internet connection at random.

I fixed the problem by un-installing Windows 11 and installing Windows 10. Windows 10, this problem does not happen. Its been about 6 months and I have not had my internet dropped under Windows 10. I did not have to spend any money on another adapter or anything like that. The problem is with Windows 11 and it appears that Microsoft still does not know how to fix it or they would have provided a fix. If you go back to Windows 10 like I did you won't have any problem with it dropping your connection and having to re-start.

I hope this works for you also.
