Windows 11 keeps dropping wifi

I am not savvy enough to know if I have one type of security on wifi and another type elsewhere. My wifi is provided by my cable television service. Maybe that hint will help another.

I do want to say that my internet connection HAS NOT fallen off since I uploaded the latest Windows 11 Update which was pushed mid-October. I was nervous about it because sometimes an update just causes other bugs. But I am good so far.

Try using a diffeent security on your wifi - I think it is actually a WPA 2.0 bug

Just wondering if anyone has actually found a fix that works for this issue. My son bought himself good spec gaming PC in April. He runs on windows 11 and has constant “lagging”. We are working with our internet provider who luckily is amazing but not resolved it yet. Sometimes he can’t even connect to games. Yet downloading works perfectly and has a constant speed.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Windows just notified me of a new version of 11. 22F2. I downloaded and installed. Took about an hour. so far no issues but its only been 2 days.

Just finished getting the 22H2 version, and almost immediately started getting disconnects from internet, even though still connected to WiFi network somehow....

Makes no sense at all that anytime I need to do anything that requires a stable internet connection, this stupid VIrus exvuse for an operating system cannot get all the way through it without losing internet.

I mean, isn't Microscum supposed to be the top computer company on the planet?? How can they not be able to understand that a WiFi connection only serves one purpose, to connect to the internet?? Itherwise, what is the point of being connected??

After crossing my fingers, and hoping against hope that 22H2 would fix this, I was again kicked in the teeth by this garbage company that thinks a home computer is only for computer programmers. Notice I said crossed my fingers, not held my breath, as I lost all faith in Microslow years ago to be able to make a reliable product that is functional, compatible, and user friendly. I remember, DECADES AGO, when WIndows was an amazing thing, that made home computing a reality, but like many companies, that get too big for thier own good, they have been slipping ever since, and just keep putting out more and more overcomplex junk, which is forced down the consumer's throats.

I am also experiencing this issue. Is Microsoft going to respond to this with something useful? I have just had to tell my coworkers there is nothing I can find to fix the issue on my end, so they have to suffer through it, I guess...
