windows 11 with LG ultrawide monitor

I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable. LG does not have an updated driver, Windows 11 has all updates installed has no updates available related to this driver and it will only select this as the recommended resolution.

Is there no support for 2560x1080 HDMI monitors in windows 11?

    I'm not sure. I have a Dell XPS 13 (9310) that runs thru a dell dock (can't remember which one) and it drives 2 32" LG monitors. One is just 1080P but the other is a 2k monitor. For the longest time I could only run both monitors at 1080. I wasn't sure if it was the graphics card or the dock or the LG driver. I just learned to live with it. Then I noticed the 2k monitor was showing support for 2k in the display settings. Seems like it happened after a windows update. I guess my message is maybe there is hope for some of these more odd ball peripherals as Windows 11 gets built out more. But I could be totally wrong too!

    I've got a surface laptop 4. Not sure the hardware is there to run this monitor.

    I have a hp laptop i5 6200u. I plug my lg monitor 29um58 in to hdmi port and I

    get 2560 by 1080. in device manager under display adapter intel hd graphics 520 on driver version 30.0.101.1192 date 1/11/22. in device manager under monitor LG ultrawide(HDMI) driver version 1.0.0.0 date 8/26/15 the laptop is on windows 11 and all looks great .i never went to lg for driver it was just there

    Hope this gives you some ideas Is yours pluged in by hdmi or displayport to computer could be cable

    on my laptop i have the lg 29um58 connected to a displaylink that plugs into a usb3 port and i get 2560 by 1080 on that never tryed it to intel integrated graphics i have another monitor on that and it also is windows 11 it might be the intel driver what cpu do you have and is it a laptop
