This happened with me too but when finally I was able to do it I lost the realtek sound driver. Its been around a week I have no sound and it does not detect the local sound driver. It is better to wait for the actual update.

2021-06-18T06:26:34+00:00 I downloaded the cumulative update which was optional and later my sound drivers vanished , trust me I have done everything, from updating-resetting windows- to updating the BIOS version to - reinstalling windows- not even my amd high definition sound driver is being detected I really need a solution to this I literally just bought my laptop, I have seen a discussion about reinstalling the previous version which then leads to a death screen which I am not ready for.

2021-06-18T00:17:32+00:00 Same with mine. will not install kb5003637, keeps alternating error msg's 0x800f08a,0x8007000d & 0x800705b4. Tried going through command promt menu, but that is different as well. don't know what to do.

2021-06-18T00:04:24+00:00 (1) Do you see a report of the crash in Reliability History (type into Search)?
(2) Anything in "right-click START, Event Viewer"?
(3) Those updates look a lot like mine except I didn't get KB2538243 which is a Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1. I only have Visual C++ 2010 at "START, Settings, Update & Security, View Update History, Uninstall Updates"...
But I guess you must have downloaded an app that uses the older version. I guess it's OK, especially if the 2010 version is also there for you.
(4) Did you try DISM & SFC...
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files (5) A repair-install of 21H1 once fixed a tough problem for me... https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Download Windows 10 - This is always the latest finalized Windows version, currently 21H1.
Download MediaCreationTool21H1.exe & run it to make a Windows 10 Installation USB drive. Follow the instructions under "Using the tool to create installation media". As it says, match it to the Language, & Architecture(x64/64-bit or x86/32-bit) of the computer on which it will be used. The Windows Editionto take is "Windows 10", which includes both Home & Pro.
Then plug it in, open it in File Explorer, & double-click Setup.exe to do the repair. Be sure there is an option to keep user files & apps or back out (unless you are willing to lose them). Here is a big write-up of the procedure...
