I am trying to install the new Windows 11 update from Windows Update, but I keep getting error 0xc1900101.

The installation starts, and after a couple restarts, it says:

" Attempting to recover installation "

" Undoing changes made to your computer "

And then I am greeted with error 0xc1900101 on Windows Update.

The short answer to your question Alfred is no. This is not a judgment on windows 11. This is a judgment on the installation program. Windows does not seem to have their arms around the types of computers that highly technical people use. We don’t use off-the-shelf laptops. We don’t use Run-of-the-mill desktop computers. We know what we’re doing and we have enhanced the systems we use to meet our demanding requirements. The answer is no

It is very good news that your system has been allowed to run windows 11.

But I continue with my nagging of Microsoft because if your computer ran perfectly well with windows 10 I see no reasonable excuse for it not to run on windows 11.

What in the world will windows 11 do when it runs across all of the common users that don’t have these kinds of skills or access to these kinds of resources.
