Cannot install Windows 11 - Error 0xc1900101

Thanks to everyone who contributed suggestions. I had already tried most of them, but did some over again plus ran various windows checking tools, etc.

Long story short: I am still not able to update my Windows 10 system to windows 11.

1. Installed Driver Booster and made sure every driver was up to the latest level
2. Despite my motherboard having TPM in Firmware (Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro), I ordered and installed a physical TPM module (just to be sure)
3. I upgraded my UEFI firmware on the motherboard to the very latest level
4. I analyzed the setupact.log and setuperr.log files and was not able to find anything that gave me any bright ideas about how to proceed
5. I ran setupdiag and didn't find anything I could use
6. I ran the system file checker tool (sfc), which corrected some issues

Nothing worked, so I gave up (for now) and carved out a new 128GB partition on my nvme drive and installed the windows 11 ISO file onto that, and am now using dual boot between Windows 10 and Windows 11. Not the way I wanted it to work, but for now it seems to be the only way I can get any Windows 11 testing done.

Between the windows 11 hardware requirements and the problems updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I am afraid not many will be able to run Windows 11 - unless they buy a new computer with Windows 11 preinstalled.

WIN11 is installed successfully!

After much agony, the following helped. First, I achieved compatibility through the BIOS settings (Asus 365b plus). When installing WIN11, the error is 0xC1900101. The video card is 1060.

First, I removed third-party antivirus programs. In the Windows update center, I once again started the installation

Then on the keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time and type: devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

Then double-click the IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers. Right - click on the SATA device that you see and select "Delete Device".

After that, check the box "Remove the driver software for this device" and click "Delete".

try performing a clean boot and see if you can update Windows 11.

To do this, press the Windows logo key and R simultaneously on the keyboard. Type msconfig and press Enter.

Click the Services tab and select the "Hide all Microsoft Services" checkbox. Then click. Disable everything.

You will see that all the marked fields are empty after you click the "Disable all" button. Click "Startup" and "Open Task Manager".

Select the programs that you do not want to start the computer with, and click "Disable". Close the Task Manager window and return to the System configuration window. Click "Apply" and OK to save the changes.

And only after that, restart the computer. During the reboot, I went into the BIOS and disabled the network interface and legacy USB. Exited the BIOS and after that the installation started.

I don't know exactly what helped, but after this WIN11 was successfully installed.
