I am trying to install the new Windows 11 update from Windows Update, but I keep getting error 0xc1900101.

The installation starts, and after a couple restarts, it says:

" Attempting to recover installation "

" Undoing changes made to your computer "

And then I am greeted with error 0xc1900101 on Windows Update.

There is not only one way to install Windows 11!!

You can download a iso file from microsoft Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

after downloading the iso file, mount it then copy all the files inside to a bootable USB then what u have to do is go to settings go to recovery and then advanced then press reboot now

then ur pc should reboot and have a blue screen press troubleshoot and then press command prompt then type in ur bootable USB (Example: D:)

Then type setup and then follow the instuctions to install windows 11

Hello, I tried the procedures that you described on troubleshooting, but the same error occurs. I have made a copy of the log files that are mentioned and a screenshot of the profilelist of the registry. How can I send them so someone can review them should I post the LINK HERE? Or to a personaL address of a tech support individual?

    Hi Chris,

Please post the link to the log files i.e. Setupact.log first so that I can have a look and suggest. It might not necessarily be related to the user profile. I would ask you for regedit screenshot if required. The log files can be put on Onedrive and then a link can be shared in the next reply.

As soon as you reply, I would split your post to a separate question.
