I am trying to install the new Windows 11 update from Windows Update, but I keep getting error 0xc1900101.
The installation starts, and after a couple restarts, it says:
" Attempting to recover installation "
" Undoing changes made to your computer "
And then I am greeted with error 0xc1900101 on Windows Update.

Ditto here. I keep pausing updates because auto-update will try over and over again - always failing. Error code will sometimes change, but result is the same. I was on the preview channel, so this has been happening for close to a year now. Tried many "cures" but nothing works. Very, very frustrating.
Well I got notified on 3rd April 2022 that my Dell Inspiron 7506 2n1 was once again capable of being upgraded to Windows 11, so I thought, I will try again. Amazingly, this time it worked flawlessly, and unlike the previous "successful" attempt in September 2021, this time I am still running Win11. Clearly, the excessive delay in fixing the drivers finally worked.
Also try updating your drivers from a driver updater and geforce experience.
