    I agree ! I have an AMD Threadripper, 16 core 32 thread 1950x. It's watercooled. System has 128Gb of Ram, 6Tb of hard drives. Supports UEFI and fTPM. It's running Windows 11 but since it's a 1st generation Threadripper, MS won't support it as of now, and I'll probably switch it back over to Windows 10 when the time comes....Such a shame...

    I think you may have the wrong information, I am using Windows 11 22000.51 via Windows Insider Inside my i3 7100, you can install Windows 11 on 7th Gen processors officially.

    Not "officially," but rather, only if you are in the Windows Insider Development tier.

    The "official" list of approved processors has not budged yet:

    Still 8th gen minimum, for Intel Core processors, and equivalent for other Intel processors and AMD. If public release were to be today, the general public would likely be unable to install Win11, on older processors. Unless Microsoft changes its mind, which has yet to happen.

    My new theory is, maybe this is nothing but a stupid PR stunt, designed only to get people talking about Win11? Some inane marketing ploy, dreamed up by some Microsoft marketing person? I'd sorely love to know what the actual software engineers at Microsoft think about this policy. I wouldn't be a bit surprised, if they were deeply embarrassed.

    (Also working for a rather large company, I can say without hesitation, the decisions made the the senior execs can, at times, be truly embarrassing.)

    THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE!! Hopefully, Microsoft adds support for 7th and 6th Gen processors.

    My system: - Windows 11 22000.51 Windows Insider Dev Build, Intel Core i3 7100 2 core 4 thread 3.91 GHz CPU, TPM 2.0, Secure boot enabled, UEFI Boot type with GPT system partition type, DirectX 12 support with WDDM 2.

    I also have i3 7100 i tried windows 11 running in vm ware and its working but actual pc doesnt support idk why?
