SCAM - Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Firewall & Network Protection

I received a scam email regarding order confirmation for the above this morning - One year subscription for $299.99.  I did not order this and I did not call phone number listed(1-888-601-2806). 

I just wanted to advise you of this email.  I have received a similar SCAM last year.

    Got the same scam today. Up to 399.99 now (inflation IS bad LOL). Disturbing thing is I was addressed by name. Usually these scams/phishing attempts don't do that :-(

    I did receive the same email as all of you have.  I did freak out too..   The email was in my spam box dated June 24.  I caught the email today (Sunday Jun 27th)

    !.  I never ordered it

    1.  They (the idiots) didn't have my bank acct number or routing number and the email came from a gmail account.  
    2.  The call back number is a cell phone number.
    3.  and finally I checked my back account for the dollar amount that they mentioned and there no withdrawal.

    a special note was at the bottom.  " you have 12 hours to refund this charge from the date of the transaction without being charged."

    CAN YOU IMAGE THAT?

    I was only smart to catch this because of the SMART FOLKS like you.  Thank you everybody for your post it help old people like myself from falling into a trap .  THANK YOU!!!

    i just received this same email today for the amount of 399.99. I called them up to see if it was legit and they wanted me to download something from www.awesun.com so that they could remotely go on my computer and "help" me delete my defender program and get my refund started. I would never let anyone remotely access my computer!! He told me that the charges would take a couple of days to show up on my bank account. They don't have my account information, so not worried about that. It is definitely a scam! Gave me a scare at first! Be careful out here guys!!
