WaasMedic Agent Exe stopping me from working

Will you buy me four SSDs so I can upgrade the rest of my systems? Because I can't afford to do so. Look if we purchased a computer with Win 10 installed then we paid for a license. We have the reasonable expectation that Win 10 will continue to function on that same system and not do everything it can to make that system obsolete. WaaS and the other components are Microsoft's planned obsolescence program plain and simple. Windows continuously reads thousands of files on our systems not because it's performing any useful function but only to wear out our HDD and to slow our systems down to make it seem like we need to buy new ones. All they are really doing is making me convert more systems to Linux which doesn't spend all day grinding away at the HHD and runs much more efficiently all around.

Precisely. Wassmedic is not the only one. I get high disk usage, I kill the processes that are making a high disk usage. Then I look at Task Manager and the high disk usage is "system". No explanation. MicroStupid will just continue to read and write to and from the disk, without notifying anyone. Can you find out what is being written or read? No. Will MicroStupid ever reply to this problem? No. I get interrupted in the middle of my live streaming, only to find that even though I disabled everything, "system" is writing and reading from the disk and making my game lag. I could not even get the game to save. I had to close OBS and start all over. MicroStupid is performing an actual breaking and entering or home invasion. Who knows what information they are getting and who they give it to. This forum is not very helpful. Feedback Hub is impossible to get to unless you disable wassmedic and other programs, then it would find nothing, cause I disabled it. Worthless advice.

In response to wmcole. I had been on 2004 since last October when it auto updated itself, 20H2 showing as an option. Did not update, left it there as an option. June 5th first boot of day, noticed lot of disc activity, Task Manager showed Windows Module installer running. Finally request to restart, found I had been updated to 21H1 thereby leap-frogging 20H2. Time taken to complete was not that long, did not notice any differences in appearance, running etc. I was holding on updating to 20H2 as according to MS there were fundamental changes to the workings, main concern was that the traditional Control Panel was in effect, disappearing. Still available as it has been for years.

In response to MarcHoppe. Wednesday, 3 minutes after AM boot, notification that I needed to restart to install update. This was KB5004945, the MS FIX referred to. Installed as no choice. Went into control panel to check if Restore Point had been created, RECOVERY icon had moved on a place, noticed there was now an item for FLASH Player. Half hour later, BLUE SCREENED when in an EXCEL worksheet, auto restarted, up & running again. Event Viewer log entry under error listed 'BUGCHECK'. Couple of hours later another BLUE Screen again, I was just about to open File Explorer from Task Bar, auto rebooted again & running, EV showed another BUGCHECK error. Ran FP normal uninstaller, ran but FP still in Control Panel. Ran MS Catalog FP uninstall, came up with as already installed so FP still in control panel. Removed KB5004945 thru' uninstall updates, FP still there although no more blue screening after, well at least for the next 3 hours. Spoke to my computer guru, suggested doing a System Restore, done that, FP now gone from Control Panel. I then halted further updates till after the next patch Tuesday. Touch wood, no more BLUE SCREENS since. MS seem to completely lost the plot now, looks as though released this update in a panic, and once again, did not test before release. What we really need is a way of halting updates on a permanent basis

No what I mean is the Windows 10 license is tied to my MS account. If I want to sell that computer I'd want the license not tied to my account. From MS:

"It is essential that you link your Microsoft account to the Windows 10 license on your device. Linking your Microsoft account with your digital license enables you to reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter whenever you make a significant hardware change. Depending on how you got your copy of Windows 10, you'll need either a digital license or a 25-character product key to activate it. Without one of these, you won't be able to activate your device.

So I'm not sure the new user would be able to activate Win 10 if I were to sell the computer. Perhaps they could by using their own MS account but I'm not sure.
