Why is there a debug file on my computer and how to I fix it

In the debug file it says [1010/132558.157:ERROR:directory_reader_win.cc(43)] FindFirstFile: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3)

    Yeah, I think I've been getting the debug file ever since I started opening pdfs with Edge.

    same happened to me, the issue is with the Microsoft edge browser.   this is usually happen when you open pdf using edge browser.   use another application to open pdf files.

    google chrome doesn't need to uninstalled.

    All the browsers I've seen mentioned in any of these threads -- there are many in the last week or so, just search for the exact "FindFirstFile" error message and you'll find a bunch -- are based on Chromium, the open-source engine that powers Chrome.  Brave, Chrome, the new MS Edge, your Opera, all of them are built on top of Chromium.  That strongly suggests that a bug was recently introduced to Chromium that's causing this.

    Yes, Brave is built on the Chromium Engine, try re-installing that browser to see if it stops generating that Debug file . . .
