This is a summary of the cumulative updates released on October 13th for all the supported consumer releases of Windows 10.

IMPORTANT Windows 10, version 1809, will reach end of service on November 10, 2020 for devices running Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions. These devices will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10.

I am currently on my laptop. The Windows 10 upgrade was happening then it just hung, now when I try and reboot it does not have any disk activity. Microsoft Support called me and walked me through creating a Recovery USB, but it won't even boot from that. I am so pissed right now. I cannot even get to command line or a boot menu to try and resolve it. They told me they are going to call me between 3pm and 5pm EST Wednesday.
I cannot believe this happened. This is unacceptable.

I tried to install the new update twice, once on the 18th and again today (20th). Both times, my machine bluescreened and broke.
(I have a very baseline understanding of tech, so I'm not entirely sure what happened, or how to explain it.)
I only got my pc back to normal by hard-booting, at which point it uninstalled what it had tried to update. This is the only thing that seems to fix the problem.
I went into the settings and delayed updates until the 1st, but I'm at a loss of what to do once that time expires. I'm mostly making this post so I can alert you guys that this issue is still ongoing.
If it helps, I'm on a Dell Inspiron 15 3593 that is less than a year old. I'm using Windows 10 Home, version 1909. I was also in-and-out, doing chores while I waited for the machine to update. I wasn't really watching it.
