I have this issue too, and as most, if not all users here, I've an Dell too, An G15 5511 to be more especific... And as it's not my first Dell nightmares computer (had an vostro 5470 before, that was full of problems, mainly wifi and intel/nvidia GPU related, the G15 is not as bad as the vostro I had, but, still with some inconvenience, like a gen4 NVME slot, slot0, that works as Gen3, and standby that never works as well, not cool)....
I'm almost sure this is a Dell problem... I was thinking initially that this could be something with my AV (Bitdefender) but... Now I'm not sure anymore. This heck of an PC never suspends correctly too, so, I'm really triggered with everything wrong in this *****ed Dell unit, now even more as hibernation wont show up on windows anymore, it was the only thing that I would use to have an real "suspend" state on this Dell screwed PC, I have turned on hibernation, but thanks to MS or Dell, this is not an option anymore, so, my battery keeps getting drained even after I close the lid...
Would be good if people here shared if they are using an AV solution... I'm almost trying something radical, like making windows run on proxmox or something like that, so I can have more control on what the heck is happening... I'm really interested in if this is a Dell and/or Microsoft problem... What is really interesting is that Dell couldn't make Alienware fully compatible with hyper-v yet, just open it and you will see it babling about the need to disable hyper-v or the virtual machine plataform when you go to Fusion tab, so maybe its something related to Alienware... But would not be surprised if this is another bug from microsoft... as the windows printer sharing one from not long ago...
I haven't tried anything until now, would be glad if someone found a solution that won't involve any group policy (that locks the option to enable/disable, as this regedit tip seems to do)... I'll try to say what worked out for me...
