So I used this fix, but now pretty much all my Windows apps are just refusing to use any CPU except chrome. Settings, Pictures, Widgets, nothing wants to open. Edit: Chrome isn't slow anymore though, so this fixed that at least

Am guessing this would disable Efficiency mode but the first line of the article is so incorrect. "Windows Task Manager’s “Efficiency Mode” may cause Google Chrome to freeze" , Task Manager just shows which process is in Efficiency mode and doesnt automatically apply Efficiency mode. The author needs to do more research into Efficiency mode/EcoQoS APIs. The only thing good is that he showed how to disable the feature in Chrome. Moreover, my gut says that the freezing issue is much beyond Efficiency mode and wont really fix it until Chrome devs dive into this bug.

Moreover, my gut says that the freezing issue is much beyond Efficiency mode and wont really fix it until Chrome devs dive into this bug.
