Issue with Windows Hello on Windows 11 - fingerprint recognition option currently unavailable

Hi, I’m having an issue adding a new fingerprint on Windows 11, when I click on the sign in options it says “this option is currently unavailable” and to try again later, the button to set up another finger is greyed out. Log in is working with the fingerprint I have set up put I want to use another finger. What can I do to solve this? My laptop is the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 if that helps any. Thanks xx

    I tried doing the first solution you mentioned about uninstalling driver by "uninstall device", it didn't work and more so now i don't have bio-metric driver available in device manager, please help me with this

    I also tried reinstalling driver from ASUS website but it still didn't show it in device manager
