Got hacked by a rambler.ru account

My microsoft account got hacked by a rambler.ru account and replaced my original email with theirs. that email address is [PII Removed] i requested a security info change from that email address back to my own but now my account is locked for two days and i'm not sure if requesting a security info change alone would be enough to keep the hacker from my account.

from my understanding too, I believe that they originally got to my microsoft account by hacking my email credentials.

Hi Keiran,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Usually when a hacker changes the Email on a Microsoft Account, then that account cannot be recovered, it is lost and there is no method to recover the account.

If you have been luck enough to be able to recover your account, when the 2 day time period has lapsed, it would be best to ensure you have a very strong password on your account and enable 2 factor authentication on your account to ensure the hacker no longer can access your account.

Check for that by trying to sign-in with the original address https://outlook.live.com If you are told that the account doesn't exist, you're out of luck.

    Well i know this and ive tried many times i actually got acces twice with support helping me (they did not) when i was inside i could not change anything since i had too wait 30 days before i could interact with it (terms of service bull****) so i lost it again *twice so how could you change it when security change was it possible still for me to change i had to be given security code from the rambler.ru account itself so how would that be possible

    and btw now i cant get access since they wont open the account for me to change it seems they gave the account to the hacker so it seems i lost and they won and they won with microsoft support¨s support for not letting me change it

    PS: microsoft support should be able to give me access code for security change but they did not seems they dont actually care about (customer service) at all they say is make a new account which i thought was odd since that would make them (more money for microsoft) i will not be using microsoft services no more than windows 10 so i would conclude all this as useless since a multi billionare company does not care about inviduals like us is sad

    and yes they gained access to most of my accounts and (THE SUPPORT ON ALL OF THEM ACUTALLY HELPED ME GAINED THEM BACK)

    there was a US number and my computer was infected somehow so i reformated it but do you know if there is something i could say to the compliance form a valid point and a good excuse for them to open it again?
