How to stop folders from automatically adding into Quick access please?

I like the one click suggestion. I am trying it now. I notice I ma bumping it twice somehow maybe a split second habit of double click or am I accidentally clicking due to getting old but I keep going 2 click steps instead of one. Hopefully I get used to it and I stop doing this. If its due to my aging, I'll go back to 2 steps. But intuitively one click makes more sense. As for the check box thing I tried it before and it seemed to make more work of selecting.

I think of myself as somewhat computer savvy but in File Explorer I'm clicking View>Options and there is no privacy. Going to File>Options and that options menu looks different and it actually has the privacy tab that everybody is referring to. I'm glad you stated this because it's really stupid not to put it in there I mean I wouldn't have known to go to file except for this that you put. And I don't think these people anybody really pays attention to it any of the people that purport to do solutions they just assume and I still don't even know what the heck 3 dots are referring to.

And this windows 11 troubleshooting pit just gets deeper and deeper anyway. This all started out today when I tried yet another day to troubleshoot File Explorer being so slow. I have one of the fastest computers that you can buy from a retail store and it is slower than my Windows 7. At least with the operation of windows 11 core stuff. I get the spinning blue circle everything i do in File Explorer from renaming or dragging folders. I mean it's exhausting i can sit there for like 30 seconds sometimes and just wait and then it'll stop and restart and stop and restart and spin and then stop spinning and do nothing. I'll sit there and wait when i drag the fold over nothing happens. I can almost go get a cup of coffee or a beer before I come back to see if it actually worked the simple task of dragging something to a new folder. Still haven't solved that problem and I've gone through so many solutions.

My next solution is I'm going to find a different type of File Explorer program to use because windows is garbage. And I absolutely hate windows 11 it's total garbage I want my Windows 7 computer back but just with the faster technology developments. Personally I think stupid things like getting rid of the scrolling bar on the side of basically every tab and every type of situation on the new computers from File Explorer to whatever is stupid why don't you just show me the slider instead I gotta play games trying to get that little thin slider to show so I can scroll if I don't want to like try to use the mouse and all that I like to scroll the old fashioned way sometimes but let's just eliminate it so that we can actually make things more complicated I mean it doesn't look that much prettier and I'd rather have functionality over trying to pretend like I'm using an apple instead of a PC. If anybody knows the actual solution to windows operating slowly with this spinning and spinning and spinning and waiting it would be really helpful if you could let me know which I don't even know how to do that on something like this besides replying. But they like to shut down threads so that nobody can continue to ask questions period I know it can get to be this long rabbit hole just like windows 11 is. They might as well leave it up because all of them knows 11 is just one giant rabbit hole.
