windows 11 does not recognize my bluetooth speaker as an audio device

My Bluetooth speaker Creative Stage Air 2 suddenly stopped being recognized as an audio by Windows 11, windows 11 will connect it as a Bluetooth device but not as an audio device

I try to disconnect it and reconnect through the system - sound - pair new output device - did not work, it'll connect to Windows but not as an audio device

    Here is how I fixed this issue on my laptop. I believe the 'Intel Smart Sound Technology drive is the culprit for this issue.

    • Intel Smart Sound Technology for Bluetooth Audio
    • Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones
    • Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio

    Open Devices and Printers, More Devices and Printer Settings, go to Sound, audio,controllers and uninstall all 3 of them. Restart.
    Open the same option again, and then just click on Scan for Hardware changes.

    These items will reinstall themselves after you do a 'Scan for hardware changes' so don't worry about uninstalling them. Restart your Windows If you get a prompt for that.

    Check your sound setting, and you're done.

    I tried literally everything on the internet, right from reddit to quora to other forums. This fixed my issue and is the only fix that worked on my Acer Laptop. let me know if it worked for you.

    Hi.. I also had this problem recently and I resolved it just now. I don't know if it will also help you. Try to go to Settings->Bluetooth and Devices->Devices->More Devices and Printer Settings->then choose the device. Then right click, choose Properties, click Services. Just check the boxes then apply, then ok. I hope this will also work for you. I'm just really glad that I connected mine. 😊

    "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" worked for me. The issue started after upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 and accidentally removing the device from the Bluetooth settings.

    Exact same problem with my MSI GS 65 Stealth laptop. Bluetooth speakers connect via bluetooth... but it all stops there. Does not show up anywhere as an available audio output sound option to use. Totally ridiculous. Anyone have a fix yet????? Thanks.

    I'm seeing the same thing with my Logitech Z207 speakers I keep in my garage. They worked under Win10. I've disconnected and re-paired under Speakers. Bluetooth shows connected. Speakers does not show them as a choice. Devices shows the speakers but shows them as disconnected and will not let me connect.
