Hi,

I have a soundcore q35 bluetooth headset. The headphones are working fine with bluetooth but the headset microphone is not connecting. I have tried multiple troublsehooters, driver updates and windows restarts. I have reset the device as well.

Please could you help me resolve this issue.

Thanks,

It is not "Only" related to dell laptops. It is occurring on ASUS and other Manufacturers as well. My surface pro doesn't have the issue and it is running everything identical with respect to software and applications. Oddly, we have 142 Surface's different models in our Organization and it is not happening on any of them. We also have high end Bose and Sony headphones. Sound but no Microphone.

I am wondering if it is related to specific BT driver, hardware.

Any how, this is getting old and MS needs to address it.

Can you please let me know asap if re-installing OS solves our issue? the technician is about to come in a few days and do the same thing he did before! (Replacing motherboard with bluetooth driver in it) that solves nothing, but now they are saying after the replacement they will re-install a new OS this time, im not quite sure if the previous replacement did a reinstall of OS. thats my sentiment as well, Dell XPS is not a cheap laptop. i bought an expensive laptop to avoid these scenarios, but look where it has taken me. Advance thanks for sharing the result of your fix!

Interesting.. when I spoke to the Dell engineer he mentioned that this is not an isolated situation... I am going to try and install a fresh OS on an external USB drive.. boot off of this and see if a fresh OS install resolves the issue.. my spider senses tell.me this is a windows update/patch issue..

Given it is effecting multiple BT headsets (some of which are $500+ units) I don't believe this is a headphone hardware issue.. it is also interesting that this seems to be only.related to Dell laptops.. I have not heard of these issue with other laptop vendors.. this is a serious issue that Dell/Microsoft need to fix asap.. the Dell.XPS laptops nd not cheap and have a bunch of other issues that Dell is aware of... battery drain issues, build quality issues.. problems with connecting multiple monitors to Dell external docks connected to XPS laptops etc etc.. I used to swear by Dell but won't be buying another one moving forward..

I have the same issue, I bought a Dell XPS 13 9310, at first it was okay, but it starts to reject the mic on my bluetooth headphones, i have 4 BT headphones and all of them are having the same problem with my Dell, but when i try them on my other laptop it works perfectly fine! I have Dell replaced the motherboard and bluetooth hardware, NOTHING CHANGED! i thought i was alone with this problem. i really hope Microsoft has a solution for us. it sucks having to buy an expensive laptop just to learn you cannot use bluetooth headset during meetings!
