Bluetooth microphone is not working on Windows 11.

I had a customer coming and asking to help her with her Soundcore Earbuds (no idea which model). Her Microphone wouldn´t get added, but only Sound would be transferred to her Earbuds.

We removed the device through the Bluetooth Settings (the three dots in the right upper corner of your device).

Then go to the System > Sound > Input (!!!) Settings.
Add a Device.

In the best case the Microphone gets installed, the Speaker get installed, and you can finally start using your Earbuds for Video Conferencing.

I had the same issue with my Dell XPS 9520 laptop... I found that when I did a windows 11 update it also updated my Intel Wireless Bluetooth Drivers which broke my Apple Earpods.. mic only worked intermittently and sometimes not at all..

To fix my issue I did the following :-

• Went into device manager
• Located the Bluetooth device tree
• Expanded this and right clicked the "Intel {R} Wireless Bluetooth(R)" device
• Select "Properties"
• Select "Driver"
• Select "Roll Back Driver"

This fixed my issue.

Not sure what laptop/desktop you have some maybe this is not the fix for you.

Fixed this issue in Windows 11 with Sony WH-1000XM5 after rolling back driver in Device Manager -> Sound, video and game controllers -> Intel Smart Sound Technology for Bluetooth Audio to driver version 10.29.0.8365

FWIW laptop is Asus Zenbook Pro 14.

So my IT department has been troubleshooting this issue with our fleet of Dell devices, specifically this year we have encountered Bluetooth devices of several brands failing to register as an input device. (a few users couldn't connect anything) We took all known troubleshooting steps.

What finally was discovered is that our monitoring/antivirus provider (Sentinel) had a device control managing policy in place that had been rolled out recently, specifically an inherited device policy was blocking the Bluetooth RFCOMM protocol. (We think it was stopping the driver from updating/installing) Our IT director disabled the device policy to test, and all of our users were suddenly able to use their Bluetooth as input devices.

If you don't have a managed computer, I would still investigate any policies that may be pushed to your computer by security software or similar.

Same problem here, motherboard replaced and OS reinstalled but nothing seems to fix it.

The problem persist and nothing ive tried helped.

The only reasonable cause is the OS itself😔
