I hope someone at Microsoft catches this and fixes it. If you follow the steps of removing and re-adding your Bluetooth device, it will work again temporarily. Eventually, the problem returns. This problem does not happen with the same hardware on Windows 10.
Bluetooth microphone is not working on Windows 11.
Hi,
I have a soundcore q35 bluetooth headset. The headphones are working fine with bluetooth but the headset microphone is not connecting. I have tried multiple troublsehooters, driver updates and windows restarts. I have reset the device as well.
Please could you help me resolve this issue.
Thanks,

2025-02-28T18:42:37+00:00 I really hope this helps:
I had a customer coming and asking to help her with her Soundcore Earbuds (no idea which model). Her Microphone wouldn´t get added, but only Sound would be transferred to her Earbuds.
We removed the device through the Bluetooth Settings (the three dots in the right upper corner of your device).
Then go to the System > Sound > Input (!!!) Settings.
Add a Device. In the best case the Microphone gets installed, the Speaker get installed, and you can finally start using your Earbuds for Video Conferencing.
Br, Chacky.
this worked for me and my Sony XM4

2024-10-29T18:02:35+00:00 I seem to have just had this problem with a new Lenovo laptop. I tried for the first time to use my Samsung bluetooth earbuds in a WhatsApp call and I got the audio but it didn't recognize the microphone, "Headset" didn't show up in the list of Input devices in the sound settings.
Suggested by older posts in this thread I remembered that I'd installed all the optional windows updates too including all the drivers. So I just went to the Apps and uninstalled the Realtek audio thing, then rebooted. Now it works.
