I am unable to change the name of my bluetooth ear buds. I have tried the control panel/hardware and devices/ properties but there is no "bluetooth" tab or option to rename. I am using Win 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621. Please help.

    THERE. IS. NO. BLUETOOTH. TAB.

None of the advice here works. Doesn't matter if opened as admin or whatever. There simply is no bluetooth tab, ever, anywhere.

This is the only helpful answer on the whole thread.

the key is, as stated to: "scroll down to 'More devices and printer settings'"

(also Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers)

Please note , also to take effect, you cannot be connected to the bluetooth device already. to rename, disconnect and then change name then reconnect.

type the command Set-PnpDevice -InstanceID <InstanceID> -FriendlyName "<NewName>" and press Enter. Replace <InstanceID> with the value you copied, and <NewName> with the new name you want to give your earbuds.

I get the error that Set-PnpDevice is not a recognised cmdlet :(

After restarting my PC, it went back to the original name that I changed it from. I don't know what else to do.
