Thank god for you! I absolutely despise Windows 11 functionality. I am an IT professional, I can rename devices in seconds on every single other operating system known to man. Whoever designed the architecture on Windows 10/11 is a complete ****. How utterly ridiculous that there's no option to change anything whatsoever in the Bluetooth section of the system and even more ridiculous that no one seems to be able to recognise that fact and puts up posts and websites describing things that are not even options!! This has made me very angry, thanks for allowing me to get back to doing some work!
cannot rename bluetooth device on Win 11
I am unable to change the name of my bluetooth ear buds. I have tried the control panel/hardware and devices/ properties but there is no "bluetooth" tab or option to rename. I am using Win 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621. Please help.

2023-05-11T17:27:49+00:00 Tried that and the only options (3 dots) are "disconnect" and "remove device"
Have verified that Win 11 and all bluetooth drivers are up to date. I will next try the ZVOX web site to see if they may have a solution.

2023-08-18T21:20:47+00:00 SOLVED!!!!!
I also had the problem where there was no "rename" etc under ANY TAB. Even all of them on the forums.
So, instead go to System > Sound >
Then select the dropdown menu where you would like to "where to play sound" then select the bluetooth device (the one to be renamed needs to be already connected) and the next page at the top underneath your device will say Rename.
HTH.

2023-05-11T16:45:04+00:00 Please try the following steps to rename your Bluetooth earbuds:
Click on the Start button and select "Settings" (gear icon).
In the Settings window, click on "Devices" and then select "Bluetooth & devices."
In the list of paired devices, find the ZVOX AV30 earbuds and click on the three dots (...) next to the device name.
Select "Rename" from the drop-down menu.
Type in the new name for the earbuds and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to save the new name.
If you do not see the option to rename the device, you may need to update your Bluetooth drivers or check for any Windows updates that may be available.
Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks :)

Thanks for the response . Here is what I have tried. Following many different instructions found when I search for "Rename a bluetooth device in Win 11"
Here is my Windows information:
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on 10/6/2022
OS build 22621.1702
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22641.1000.0Steps attempted:
Desktop PC connected successfully to bluetooth earbuds Zvox AV30
Windows+R
Control Panel
Hardware and sound
View Devices and printers
select "ZVOX AV30"
properties
There is no option to rename "ZVOX AV30" My wife also has a pair of the same model earbud and we need to apply a unique name to differentiate between her pair and mine.
