2024-04-20T21:01:37+00:00 This doesn't move the bar it just moves the buttons to the left side of the bar and the bar stays on the bottom of the screen. This is still a problem as of April, 2024. I even tried changing the registry key and it just reverts and doesn't move the taskbar.

2024-04-03T12:21:32+00:00 Same here.
Guess what, microsoft does not care.
They've got the most messed-up-in-the-head technical management team, guaranteed.
It's the designers, form over function, like the ribbon lady who messed up menus in Office some 20 years ago. The idea was to make them less confusing but made them more confusing. Making things prettier makes things work better, THEY THINK. With classic dropdown menus it was easy to remember where stuff was. Ever see a roll-around vacuum cleaner designed by these design-school grads? It will quickly tip over when you pull it because they don't get the concept of center of gravity and fulcrum points.

2024-03-21T02:21:26+00:00 I'm telling you .. this does exactly what I needed to get the Taskbar on the left. It has worked perfectly for a while now through multiple large Windows 11 updates. The devs keep it up-to-date and it has many many options with clear explanations and even a way to check for updates.
Just get the latest ep_setup.exe and run it on your Win 11 sys from here: https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases?per_page=1
Also consider donating to this project (top right labeled Sponsor). I need these guys to keep this working or I am done and unable to work. Yes Microsoft, it is THAT BAD for power users to not be able to move the taskbar.

2024-03-08T13:11:50+00:00 agree! I am so happy I am not alone. for 25+ years, I have been using the entire task bar on the vertical left side of screen. It is MUCH easier to access everything. IF MS ever allows us to decide where to position the task bar, I challenge everyone to try it for a day or 2 :)
