    At least for me, I mean the entire taskbar on the right or left not just the icons. I don't want to give up vertical space as it is always the smallest! Moving to the right or left takes up less space because there are always more pixels across than up and down.

    Please Microsoft don't take valuable space from us!!

    Same here. I like it on the left edge of my screen because the screen is rectangular and it only makes sense to use up space on the left, not the bottom...

    Can't agree more. Microsoft wants to tell you how you will use Windows and is content not listening to users. Yet, they will continue to give naive marketing answers.
