MSN, Community guidelines and standards being inappropriately applied.

I have been experiencing issues with posting comments on MSN for the past few months. My comments are often flagged as not complying with the community guidelines, despite my efforts to carefully craft them to avoid offending or accusing anyone. My intention is to provide supplemental information and alternative perspectives on topics and reports. I have also noticed that many news stories on MSN contain inaccurate and false information, and comments are often disabled for these stories. This creates a biased environment on the MSN website, as it does not allow for alternative information to be presented. I believe my comments do not violate the community standards and I would like to be able to resume posting comments like the one below, as sometimes presenting facts and refuting poor ideas is necessary.

Rather than simply providing answers, it is important to seek understanding by researching and contemplating the materials. Asking for answers is not affective, especially with complex topics like this, as human beings tend to have biases that hinder their ability to seek the reality of the situation due to cognitive dissidence. All I've given you some clues on what to research and I wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of understanding.”

    The guidelines are a joke. I couldn't even write the word complaining in a sentence without getting blocked. Makes me not care what I write there anymore. All my comments are low-effort now because I'm tired of writing a well thought-out comment just to get denied.

    That is something they really need to deal with. The MSN Bot is flagging LGBTQ+ as hate speech and thus making it vanish as a phrase. This in itself then is a form of Hate speech by MSN where they appear to be trying to make Gay people disappear, if you cannot even mention Gay people as existing, in the middle of Pride well that is pretty dire. Even worse? The Bot has no way to be informed about how badly it is doing on these issues because the link about informing MSN about mistakes?

    Does not work

    As things stand the truely terrible thing is, the Bot allows for the deliberate Misgendering of people but bans the use of the word Trans, which is why MSN is a haven for Transphobic comments. You can get away with saying some pretty horrific things about the LGBTQ+ community on MSN but you can't even use the terms LGBTQ+. You can be racist but you can't use the term Trans Atlantic Slave trade, but you can make post after post after post trying to claim that it was actually all the fault of the people in Africa for some reason.

    MSN's Bot is a great first step in many cases but there needs to be actual humans at some point, I would submit this as criticism somewhere else but, honestly? i'm not sure there is a feedback for the Bot

    And many of them have my participation. But while I certainly agree that the owner sets the rules, I object when they're dishonestly presented as if it were not biased and slanted.

    Breaking News is an Android app, however be forewarned, that they allow all forms of vulgar responses and personal attacks with extremely limited oversight. That is unless a person posts using biblical quotes in support of their position. Those responses are not permitted or are heavily regulated on their site.

    MSN Community moderation is performed primarily by artificial intelligence. At present, it makes mistakes. The longer the technology is trained, the more discerning and accurate it will become.

    If this is distressing to you, then you might want to avoid participating in MSN Community until the AI improves. On the other hand, the technology improves when it has more to read - that's the only way it can learn - so your continued participation (and patience) will contribute to better moderation in future.
