Camera Missing In Device Manager

My Camera is not showing in Device Manager.

Before I did a scan for any changes I noticed the name in which I named my computer during one of the requests when setting up the Windows 11 installation was not there however after the scan the name was there and when I opened it there was the option to add drivers. My question is should I proceed with adding the drivers?

I just purchased a new computer and went through the motions of installing Windows and I have the same going on in this computer. It's like a spreading cancer however when I check the properties of what folders I do have scattered around the first part of the path after the user is One Drive. Has One Drive taken over my computers?

same way mine did recently. My engineer said maybe i will have to get a replacement or an external camera. All this happened when i formatted my lenovo thinkpad and reinstalled windows 11....with your complaint, I am sure it was not the camera hardware that got spoilt but something fishy from microsoft

Hi,

  I have a Dell 5289 laptop and faced the "camera not found in device manager" issue recently after a long windows update on Jan 22. None of the suggested "fixes" worked and I thought that the camera hardware had some issue and may need replacement. But being a tech enthusiast for over three decades I decided to remove the updates but still the camera was not showing in the device manager!!  I then reflashed the BIOS via USB drive. Lo and behold !! the camera was now in the device manager and working fine !!

So, microsoft please do check your updates thoroughly befoe they are released to the public....nobody wants nuisance.
