Camera Missing In Device Manager

My Camera is not showing in Device Manager.

Before I did a scan for any changes I noticed the name in which I named my computer during one of the requests when setting up the Windows 11 installation was not there however after the scan the name was there and when I opened it there was the option to add drivers. My question is should I proceed with adding the drivers?

I just purchased a new computer and went through the motions of installing Windows and I have the same going on in this computer. It's like a spreading cancer however when I check the properties of what folders I do have scattered around the first part of the path after the user is One Drive. Has One Drive taken over my computers?

Hello,

I'm really sorry for troubling you. But I am not able to find my camera in any setting. I have allowed access to all my apps, I've tried restarting my laptop and i cant find my camera on Device manager or Camera device settings. I've also tried the Roll-back driver method. But i cant find the Driver tab or Roll-back driver option at all. I also cant even find a button or switch for my camera. I've also tried offing my anti virus software and it still doesn't work. I've also tried restarting my computer and updating my anti virus software again or checking for updates, this problem had started a day ago. I use an IllSI laptop and the problem is my built in camera. If possible i would like a fast response.

Hello everyone, I was able to fix it!

DIOS MIO this thing about the built-in camera not working was a whole thing, but I was able to fix it in my computer, I did every single step of this comment section from the very first reply to the last and I recommend you do all of them as well depending on your situation.

What I think fixed my issue in the end was to install HP Support Assistant since I have an HP Laptop and went to the "Updates" square and clicked there and I downloaded the two updates that were available for my computer. One of them was a BIOS update, (i still dont fully understand what BIOS update really is even tho i searched it up, if you want to try this fix you should DEFINITELY search it up and understand it) I downloaded the update and installed it, the update required a restart so I restarted my computer and after it was done I went straight to the camera and it still didn't fix my issue, so i gave up and left my computer (I was doing this from 6 am to around 9 am) When I came back to check my computer at 12:30 or something IT WAS FIXED.

I looked through the "Events" of the camera driver in Device Manager and it said the camera/driver of the camera had been configured and started (started working) at around 8:30 am. I assume what fixed this was the updates I installed but it could also be a combination of the things I did to fix it. If anyone has any questions I'll try my best to help.
