Not receiving messages in Phone Link App with iOS

Hi,

I connected my iPhone in the Phone Link app.

I can send messages but the messages i receive do not appear in the app.

How can i solve this?

this was the fix for me. I opened phone link, clicked on settings, and under features, i clicked the drop down for messages. I made sure the toggle for ON was checked. and then i selected "show replies from group chats as individual messages"

all of a sudden i started getting my messages.

Hope this works for anyone looking!

    SOLVED: I was testing it with text message to myself and that does not show up in the PC Phone Link App. But messages from others, like my son, seem to work fine. It was my testing of message to myself that did not show up in the PC Phone Link App. I hope that makes sense.

    Same thing with me. I set up a new version of Win 11 on laptop in my house. The laptop was on my wi-fi network. When I tried to text from the laptop to my iPhone number it worked. But when I texted from my iPhone or my iMac computer as a reply back to the laptop which (of course) was on my wi-fi did NOT get received.

    But people outside of my home wi-fi got though just fine. So either my router was blocking the transmission or there is some bug in the Phone Link program what does one permit incoming messages if the receiving PC is on the same network as the sender.

    As an aside, this program has a very confusing interface.

    This fixed it for me! I set it to "Always" and it works now.

    From my understanding Apple isn't letting Microsoft do anything. Dell and Intel (Unison App) both figured out that you can intercept the messages being delivered and send into the message's app via Bluetooth under specific circumstances. You can't compare this with Apple because they own the entire ecosystem and have full range. They never "figured it out" they developed it, and everything is proprietary so ensure sales of their products. Apple could easily create APIs into their iMessage service but that will never happen.

    I just recently installed the latest Phone Link app and they have seemed to rectify the 3-notification badge indicator many of us have been having.

    Same issue here.

    Clearly, this "solution" isn't fully baked. Besides, what good is an only "partial" solution? You can't see previous messages? You can't send an emoji? You can't send an image or an attachment? An "iOS limitation"? They seem to be able to do it just fine on a Mac and an iPhone. I guess what you're implying is that Windows has a limitation on what it can (and can't) do on an Apple product, hence a half-baked product. That's unfortunate.

    yes apple can do it with Macs because they want you to buy a Mac the fact that they are letting Microsoft do this is incredible but it is damaging a major marketing target for MacBooks so they are not going to make it easy for Microsoft
