I'm also having a windows efficiency problem. I'm doing a file transfer from my computer to my NAS. The file transfer is going to take 22hrs now because of the efficiency setting. How do I disable it for large file transfers? I've got the computer in high performance mode and checked to make sure that there was no eco settings checked.
Let's hope Microsoft can do better with the next update.
Good afternoon Lawrence, I think you are not understanding or are playing dumb, the problem is not with EDGE but with the entire operating system, we want to disable this feature for all applications, is it clear now or do you want me to draw it...
I'm going to try deleting whatever .exe file is used for efficiency mode if it even exists. I'll see if that solves the issue.

Windows does not have a switch to turn off efficiency mode. This is by design.
That being said, you can turn off Edge's efficiency mode at the following page:
edge://settings/system
