How to remove Windows 11 Password Login, I want to make it so that no password is needed.

I am trying to setup my new HP LAPTOP and it asked to create Windows 11 - Hello PIN, I didn't want to have the pin but there was no option to skip it.

Then after the setup the Laptop started up and I went to SETTINGS> ACCOUNTS> SIGN-IN OPTIONS> WINDOWS HELLO PIN> REMOVE

Unchecked the Use Windows Hello for login option.

Restarted the laptop.

It now asks for the password I have for my Microsoft account.

I want to make it so that I don't need to enter any password or Windows hello pin to access the laptop.

Can someone help me out please?

Hi Rahul,

I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

Try these methods to remove Windows 11 password Login

  1. Disable password login on Windows
  1. In the search box next to the Start icon type netplwiz and click the top result to open the Control Panel applet.
  2. Under the “Users for this computer” section, select the account to remove its password.
  3. Clear the “User must enter a user name and password to use this computer” option.

Note If the option is missing, follow these steps

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and turn off the “For improved security, only allow Windows Hellow sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device” option and reopen the netplwiz applet.

  1. Click the Apply button.
  2. Confirm the Microsoft account credentials to log in automatically.
  3. Click the OK button.
  4. Click the OK button again.
  1. Remove the password for the Microsoft account
  1. Open Settings then click on Accounts.
  2. Click the Your info tab.
  3. Under the Account settings section, click the “Sign in with a local account instead” option.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. Confirm your current password.
  6. Click the Next button.
  7. Create a username for the account.
  8. Use blank for the “Password” and “Reenter password” options to remove the password entirely.
  9. Click the Next button.
  10. Click the “Sign out and finish” button.

After you complete the steps, the laptop will no longer connect with a Microsoft account and will log you in automatically every time you start the system.

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

Best Regard

Amr

Hi Amr the above does not work for me

    I am Windows 11

Currently have to use my microsoft password to log in and its annoying and i want to remove this option as there may be a day when i dont have internet. I do not have a pin set up or any other login password.

No option to remove user from Netplwiz. It just has just one entry. My email address as user and shows as administrators.

    This option

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and turn off the “For improved security, only allow Windows Hellow sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device” option

I cannot do as it is asking me to set up a windows hello to change this setting. I do not want to set up another password! i just want to get rid of having to use a password and not replace it by another password.

So i am stuck. Why is the system so daft not to allow me to control this myself in a easy way? why are all types of login and and users under one area to manage simply?

I never trust the login and pin, as 7 years ago on a different pc i had system crashes that after i recovered from earlier state would not allow any pin to work. When selecting alternate ways to log in or recover it would always crash. Ruined a PC that did and never recovered past information and pics. I dont ever want any issue again of windows stopping me using my PC with stupid logins

    please assist.

    Thank you

There seems to be a bug in the system, same thing happened to me, even after having adjusted my sign preferences to NO password, it keeps popping up anyway! That's on Microsoft. I gave up. Microsoft sucks. And oh by the way, I have a new computer not even 3mos old lol and no apps have been loaded that may have a virus... Again, Microsoft sucks. Matter of fact I have some time so I'm going to try and disable this again. And, I am unable to remove a "user" which is uhhhhh myself actually, when logging on I see two users, both me. The one me doesn't work and I want to remove it but so far haven't been able to find how to do this either lol. Anyway good luck
