My Windows 11 laptop will no longer connect to Wi-Fi. It says "You're connected using a virtual network adapter that we can't test." I have restarted my laptop and rebooted the modem, neither worked. Any help on what to do next?

2023-09-18T00:44:30+00:00 Hi there, I am having the exact same problem. Most of the troubleshoot options are even a ailable to me, but I have attempted the ones I can and nothing has worked. I reset my PC and the problem persists. Any help before I just roll back to windows 10?

2023-10-26T21:45:23+00:00 Hi! I just had the exact same issue and was able to solve it. I have yet to find a forum that has solved this issue using this method that I just figured it out on my own so I'm happy to share what I did.
- Go to Device Manager >> Network Adapters
- Click on the dropdown menu. Find the network adapter that isn't functioning. You can find this out by right clicking on a network adapter and selecting Properties and under Device status it will tell you that it is either working properly or not.
- Once you have found the network adapter that isn't working, select the Driver tab then Update Driver.
- Select Browse my computer for drivers >> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
- It will show you a list of drivers on your device available to choose from
- Pick one to install and keep trying different versions until you find one that works. Once you do, you should be able to connect to the internet and the Wi-fi tile should return. And if you right click on the new Wi-Fi network adapter version you just installed listed in Device Manager, under Properties it should say that the device is working properly.
I didn't have to restart my computer or modem anything I just needed to install a different version of the network adapter that wasn't working.
