How to re-enable the "Expand to Open Folder" option?

In the "File Explorer", "Expand to Open Folder" option is not working. This happend after updating "2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030310)". How to re-enable the "Expand to Open Folder" option?

    I forgot adding the "Apply" step. Updated the post.

    Had exactly this.

    Selected [This PC], went to [Options].

    1. Disabled "Expand to Open Folder"
    2. Click "Apply"
    3. Clicked "Reset Folders"
    4. Enabled "Expand to Open Folder"
    5. Click "Apply"

    Then it started working. Hope this helps.

    That's how it should work, but it doesn't, except for Ctrl+Shift+E.

    And even with Ctrl+Shift+E, it keeps collapsing again after a short while.
