Windows 11 PC Sleep Mode Issue: Unresponsive Wake-Up and Fast-Spinning Fans

I am encountering a problem with my Windows 11 PC where it fails to wake up from sleep mode. The only solution I've found to turn it back on is by manually switching off the power supply and then switching it back on. Additionally, I've noticed that as soon as I initiate sleep mode, my computer's fans start spinning at a high speed. This issue began occurring randomly, and I have not made any recent updates or changes to my system.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken So Far:

  1. Checked for Windows Updates: I ensured that my Windows 11 is up to date with the latest updates and patches.
  2. Driver Updates: I have also verified that all my device drivers are up to date.
  3. Power Settings: I reviewed and adjusted my power settings
  4. Enabled & Disabled Fast Startup and Hibernate

    Oh wow, I've been searching for solutions to this issue (on and off) for months. Glad, in a way, to see I'm not alone in this frustration. With all the various machines experiencing this, it really points towards a Windows 11 issue.

    Asus mb, Nvidia GPU, LG TV as monitor via hdmi, issues persists regardless of bios, windows, tv, or GPU updates.

    I went for windows because of certain software compatibilities, but I'm really missing Linux as my daily driver now

    It's a PITA. I think I solved it by just setting the screen shutoff to "Never". You can just have screensaver instead if you want to, but the screen shutoff seems the culprit.

    I have the same issue on pc couple month ago. People on reddit suggested to reinstall nvidia video driver to the oldest version, it helped me and issue was gone. After some time i accidentally istal latest drivers and problem pop up again, but now reinstalling doesnt work

    I started having this issue sometime last year as well. I used to use a script to put my PC to sleep after X hours, and it worked 100% of the time until suddenly it didn't. Now, Windows 11 will refuse to wake from sleep 100% of the time -- the hardware wakes up, but my case fans spin at an elevated rate, and the monitor display is blank (not off; it's receiving a signal, but displaying a blank screen.) The reset button does not function in this state. My only option is a hard power off by holding the power button for 5 seconds.
