Can Hearing aids that are Bluetooth capable be used on a Windows 11 laptop?

first off Aymeric doesn't know what he's talking about or is lying! Hearing Aids use a proprietary form of Bluetooth which no version of windows supports! MS stated that they will be adding it to W11 but there has been no updates or news since the original announcement. Some MAC computers\tablets will support them because they use the same proprietary Bluetooth drivers as iphones. Some windows pc's can see the Hearing Aids as a Bluetooth device but can not connect to them because of the proprietary Bluetooth drivers they use does NOT define them as audio output devices. If you want to waste about $300 you can buy a Bluetooth bridging device as described above, but my audiologist says they are not worth it and they are NOT covered by any insurance.

I'm not sure your inflammatory response is helpful here but that's not the point of my reply. MY Insurance does pay for my Oticon ConnectClip and has done so twice so far with two different upgrades. I find the Oticon Connectclip annoying to have to use but INVALUABLE as it allows me to use my hearing aids as my PC/Windows headset all day long at work and to watch TV quietly in bed while my wife sleeps. I've also found it useful for playing music off my Apple Watch while running without my phone.

My Hearing Aids do support Bluetooth LE Audio and not just the proprietary protocols you were writing about. Both my work and my personal laptops have Bluetooth chipsets that should support BTLEA when the drivers are available and I'll have half the need for my ConnectClip as I do now and I'm hopeful this happens sooner than later.

My recommendation is you keep your subjective opinion as just that, YOUR subjective opinion.

1st off my reply is NOT subjective! I have done EXTENSIVE research as I have been wearing Hearing aids for more than 10 years. I'm not familiar with your brand of Hearing Aids but I have contacted Signia, & Rexton Tech Support & both have stated to me what I have written above. And that it is prevalent through the Hearing aid industry & also with my Audiologist at Hear U.S.A. who has also stated the same thing & has been told that most insurance companies will not cover the bridging unit! So as you can see this is NOT a subjective opinion!
