Can Hearing aids that are Bluetooth capable be used on a Windows 11 laptop?

My 'alldayclear' blue tooth hearing aids don't show up to pair while other items do show up. Yesterday it worked, now they don't.

Go to Bluetooth settings and change from default to advanced and then try again.

What does whether or not insurance covers it has anything to do with this discussion?

How many times have multiple people (not just me) on this thread CALMLY told you that you are factually wrong.

What does my first post on this thread (2nd reply on the first page) say: 1) very few hearing aids are true bluetooth, 2) FCC regulation doesn't cover computers, 3) proprietary means profit motives (what does lazy ass got to do with profit motive), 4) you need to buy a streaming dongle because of profit motive and 5) ask your audiologist for more information.

You repeatedly said either such device doesn't exist or that such device won't work. Then when proven that such device does exist and does work, then and only then you talked about insurance coverage. What has insurance coverage has to do with this discussion about you were given the wrong information, despite that fact that you were corrected by multiple people on this thread yet you still insisted to repeat the same wrong information.

I don't ask stupid questions! & that bridging device cost about $300 & is NOT covered by any health insurance I know of! Both my hearing aids & my self-built PC have Bluetooth as I use an AKG Bluetooth pair of headphones on my PC. I also don't like your comment about Tech Support people as I have been & still am a MAINFRAME TECH SUPPORT Programmer for over 45 years!

Ask a stupid question and you get a stupid answer from lowly paid tech support staff. You asked a confusing leading question and you are going to get some wrong answer from tech support staff. They are lowly paid and they read from a script. I expect them to give out the wrong information if you don't ask a straightforward question.

You also ranted about how Signia doesn't support this and doesn't support that on page 3-4, which were immediately shot down by me with the Signia bridge dongle device.

And you didn't read your Signia manual, does it say it has Bluetooth at all? NO.

If your Signia hearing aids don't say that they come with Bluetooth, why would you ask Signia tech support about Bluetooth profiles (like handsfree, headset, a2dp audio streaming). Ask an irrevelant question and you get an irrevelant answer from poorly paid tech support staff who reads from a script.

BY DEFINITION, A DEVICE WITHOUT BLUETOOTH WILL HAVE NO BLUETOOTH PROFILES, PERIOD. That's like phoning up Honda asking if the Civic has wings and Honda tech support is going to give you some gibberish answers because it is not in his script.

Phonak specifically will say in their manual that their hearing aids come with Bluetooth 4.2 with handsfree profile for phone calls and a2dp for audio streaming. ONLY when you have a Bluetooth Phonak hearing aid would you ask does it has headset profile (which is a no according to the below screenshot).

Even AFTER I proven that there exists such a Signia bridge device exists in real life, even AFTER I told you that you asked the wrong question and gotten the wrong answer from Signia support staff, even AFTER I repeatedly correct you that there is no such thing as "proprietary Bluetooth", you STILL continue to use such incorrect terminology and STILL argue about it TODAY.

HEY, that tech support guy gave you the WRONG information, so you should STOP relying his wrong DIRECT QUOTE once I showed you that the Signia bridge device exists in real life.

A normal person would ask: "I have this Signia model of hearing aid and I like to stream a youtube audio from my computer, how can I do that?"

And Signia support staff would simply answer: "You have to buy this Signia bridge dongle device".

That's how you talk to lowly paid tech support staff who reads from a script.

hi, don't say I'm wrong I'm not! WHAT I STATED IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM SIGNIA'S TECH SUPPORT! That and that the Bluetooth definitions DO NOT DEFINE HEARING AIDS AS OUTPUT AUDIO DEVICES! I also had/have the same W10/W11 my Signia hearing aids would pair up with W10 but would not function because they are NOT defined as audio output devices like Bluetooth headphones! And W11 doesn't even see them at all! The new W11 update 24H2 is supposedly going to address this problem, we will see if this is so when it finishes rolling out to us users!
