Can Hearing aids that are Bluetooth capable be used on a Windows 11 laptop?

Just going to put my 2 cents in:

I have Oticon Intent HAs that support Bluetooth LE. (They also came with the ConnectClip bridge device)

If I attempt to pair them on a Lenovo Yoga Gen 7 with Windows 11 23H2 they show up when doing a Bluetooth discovery and the icon is a Hearing Aid icon. When I click on the first one it even tells me it found the other one and asks if I want to connect it too:

Once I click Connect it appears to connect and then the device screen shows the status under the hearing aid change to disconnected and it won't connect again. They show up in the Device Manager under Bluetooth along with a dozen instances of "Bluetooth LE Generic Attribute Service".

It looks like Windows 11 24H2 is coming with some Bluetooth updates so I'm hoping this will fix the issue.

In the mean time I can continue to use the ConnectClip bridge device. It's not always the most reliable so most of the time I just use a headset and offset one side to sit on top of my ear over the Hearing Aid mic.

Hi, it looks like some of you DON'T seem to get it! Ear pods (or buds) are BT defined the SAME AS HEADPHONES! So of course they'll work with both phones, tablets & computers. But hearing aids are NOT DEFINED AS HEADPHONES! they use a completely different BT definition & that's why they only work with phones & some tablets that use the same definitions. for instance my hearing aids work with my Samsung Note 20 phone but don't work with my Samsung A7 lite tablet. but hearing aids work with iPad's because Apple uses the same definitions with both their iPhone's & iPad's!

For those who wish to connect to laptops and or computers for team meetings, this is not going to happen with the current crop of tech.

The only way to do this is to use an Apple iPad. I have the iPad Pro and this works beautifully for conference meetings etc. You can have it set up to work just like a regular laptop with a keyboard.

Correct...Oticon hearing aids don't work with laptops unless you buy their special adapter (which costs something like $250). I guess it's a computer phenomenon. They "claim" to be bluetooth compatible, but I guess it's only with certain things. I worked around the problem...it is what it is.

Royce, hearing aids pair with my phone, i can hear callers voice, music and other audio output from my samsung phone when bluetooth is enabled, have to talk to phone, not two way communication. still cannot get hearing aids paired with windows 11 desktop. more research i did it appears that I need an Oticon Connect clip and it would work to connect my desktop to my hearing aids. jeff
