    Same issue here, the update keeps on retrying the installation process (got through downloading) but always fails at 50%. Threw me a 0x800f081f error. Tried restarting the machine, didn't work. Tried a few other tricks from the internet, didn't work. All of the other cumulative, security and .NET update installations were all OK, except for this one.

    After I performed in-place upgrade as shown in above video , I got full black screen ...now what should I do ...Its been 3 hours now my laptop is not starting.
