This is going to sound like it's unrelated, but it worked for me when an Audio Precision APX515 connected through USB kept disconnecting.
disable Edge on startup through task manager.
I've done this on multiple PCs, and it fixed the issue.
I tried sleep settings, different drivers, registry edits and even a complete reinstall.
Win10 works fine on the same PC, but Win11 dropped the driver every 5-10 min.
as soon as I disabled Edge on startup it went away and hasn't returned.
I can even open Edge and everything continues to work but if I re-enable it on startup the issue returns.
Audio Precision said they couldn't repeat the issue, but I've seen it on 3 or 4 different systems, and this fixes it every time.
All USB devices Disconnect randomly on Windows 11.
All of my USB devices randomly disconnect and will sometimes reconnect on their own in 10-20 seconds. Other times when they do not reconnect I have to completely restart the PC to get devices back working. I have tried uninstalling drivers for the USB roothubs and devices with no luck of a fix. I have not seen this issue addressed elsewhere or corrected. Other instances have not been similar to mine and this issue was non existent before upgrading to Win11. I even did a repair install of Win11 with no luck either. Any help or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

2025-04-30T02:19:51+00:00 don't just kill the task. disable it from startup. reboot, then see if when you open Edge if it causes it to fail.

2025-04-30T02:35:03+00:00 I fixed this by going to the Task Manager, Startup apps, then right click on msedge.exe and choose disable. reboot the PC and the devices should stay connected.
(Ending task on Edge will not fix it, it will just return once you open Edge again. Once you disable it on startup and reboot you should be able to open Edge without USB dropouts.)
