High virtual memory usage after reinstall

My system is Ideapad Gaming 3 16IAH7 with 16 GB RAM.

After a clean reinstall, my virtual memory usage has been higher by at least 10-20% despite not only having the same amount of processes but even a little fewer. The reason for my clean reinstall was due to the poor and inconsistent performance, something which seems to be no longer the case. I wish to know if the reason for higher virtual memory usage is the cost of performance being better now.

    Yeah though is the in place repair basically the same as in-place upgrade/install? Since I've seen only the older guides showing the ISO file giving the option to repair, while the newer one go with "install" instead

    You could try performing an in-place repair with the ISO to see if that resolves this, it would no harm to try that.

    Yeah I know about that and know better to not do so. Got any more ideas? Like how about using ISO file to do in place install?

    You can manually set your virtual memory settings, but honestly, you should not do that, Windows knows best how to manage your virtual memory setting for your hardware components and system usage.

    I see, you have any tips for me to lower the virtual memory usage? Before I reinstalled window the virtual memory usage did went up to 50% and slightly higher (tho never reaching 60%) yet when I uninstalled my intel and NVIDIA drivers and installed them back the virtual memory usage once more returned to previous 43-45%. Also whenever I was finished playing the virtual memory usage went as low as 39% and in general did not rise higher than 42%
