My Recovery partition is 537 MB, and I have had no issues with the Windows Update.

2024-01-06T18:28:31+00:00 The winre.wim image is missing. Please extract a copy of the file from the ISO. The instructions in this article (using 7-Zip) should help. After extracting winre.wim, copy it to "C:\windows\system32\Recovery".

"cannot open output file: access is denied"
Is there documentation on an actual Microsoft website for this process? This website is full of pop ups and full-screen ads. It does not feel trustworthy.

2024-01-07T00:10:04+00:00 Nevermind. I manually moved this file to my desktop (outside of the instructions from this documentation) and then again into C:\windows\system32\Recovery.
This has not solved the install error. Please advise.
