    Hi. It's a homemade DV but does matter what cd or dv I play. I do have an HP desktop and I didn't try anything.

    Thanks for your interest in my problem. However I've done a 'work around' with a new external cd/dvd drive which works OK now. Once again, thanks for your interest. Best wishes & kind regards, Peter C.

    Thanks, mine works too now. Just needed to be more patient lol. I'm actually a star trek armada 2 player but I need help setting it up on my windows 11. Still working that out thanks.

    I would try changing the drive letter in Disk Management if the drive shows up there.
