Hi, the last CMD for renaming is giving me a "syntax of the command is wrong" error

    Hi Anon,

It would work with Linux. Do this instead

    1. Run CMD as Administrator
    2. C:
    3. CD C:\Windows
    4. rename softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.old
    5. Reboot.
    6. Install Windows Updates and reboot when prompted.

    Hi Anon,

Try these two system repairs and then rename your "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" folder and then reboot before retrying to install Windows Updates:

    (1) CMD as Admin: sfc /scannow (don't restart yet)(2) CMD as Admin: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth (don't restart yet)(3) CMD as Admin: rename c:\windows\softwaredistribution c:\windows\softwaredistribution.old(4) Restart computer(5) Apply Windows Updates(6) Restart computer when prompted

I also see Event Id 201 but I also see Event Id 200 and 202 when I turn on my computer. Does anyone else have Event Id 200 and 202 they are warnings?

Still 40-50 Warning 201 per day

As this thread title only mentions Error 131 and the majority of reports in Feedback Hub are also about Error 131 then 201 probably needs its own report - but a Warning is even less likely to get sorted
