I had Money 2007 software but had updated through the years. Now I have a new windows 11 and want to put Money on the desktop. It loaded but because the original is not the saved program I was using it wont work. Is there a way to get a Sunset version?

just an fyi, replying to this post as I need MS Money to work on Win11. Have delayed purchase of new desktop for fear that MS Money would not install.
Much to my surprise, today I installed MS Money with no problems on my husband's laptop on the local drive, running Win11. I received a msg (see attachment) during setup.
Downloaded the
"usmoneydlssunset.exe from link below. "Windows executable" only

upgrading to Win11 shouldn't be this difficult.

I've had the same problem. Windows 11 is blocking us from downloading the .exe file. Even when you download or copy the entire program folder, the security features won't allow you to install or run it. Windows 11 is only allowing programs to run if they are offered in the Microsoft Store, and unfortunately, Money isn't recognized by them even though it's their program.
This has been extremely frustrating because Money is the only program that I've been completely happy with, and it has features in the program that aren't offered anywhere else. I wish they would just bring it back - the Sunset version is totally fine.
Does anyone have any useful tips for getting past this security block in Windows 11?

Discard/delete the installer you downloaded and download it again.
https://archive.org/details/MSMoneySunset Click on WINDOWS EXECUTABLE and download USMoneyDlxSunset.exe.
Right-click that installer and Run as administrator.
