Printer keeps going "offline" Windows 11

My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

Nope, doesn't work. As of April 2024, this option is no longer. Additionally, there is no 'Manage' option for printers anymore, either. Thanks to an update, my printer is going offline EVERY DAY. Thanks, Microsoft, for the update that removed our ability to fix this.

    I had the same problem.

I did everything and all steps Microsoft suggested, but nothing worked until I cleared my printer spooler and restarted it.

    I followed this instructions:

Clear Print Spooler on Windows 11 (windowsloop.com)

Works great now, doesn't go off line since doing this

I have the same problem, very frustrating. I was blaming the printer until I read this page. Printer works perfectly fine from my I phone and my I pad. Thank goodness. I uninstalled the spools etc as was a suggested from this page. Worked great for 4 days, turned it on today, and if was "offline" not a good way to start the morning. Hopefully Microsoft reads these messages, and corrected this very annoying error in their system.

I have the same issue with an Epson ET-5180. I have it connected to my computer via a USB cable, and it still keeps going offline. I had that problem when I had it connected wirelessly. When I switched to USB mode, it worked great until last week (today is Thursday, 05/09/2024). Now it goes through the same frustrating problem. You get the same useless generic pat answers from Epson. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. It printed fine. When the printer goes to sleep (I guess that's what it's called), and I attempt to print something again, the printer is offline again and unable to print anything. Very Very frustrating!
